The Don Bosco Retreat Center offers a wide variety of retreats for men and women, but especially for young people.
The Retreat Center team is available for Catholic school groups – Confirmation, Communion, Graduation, and grade-level retreats, at elementary and high school levels, as well as retreats for parish religious education programs.
The Salesians of Don Bosco specialize in opportunities for youth ministry and young adult groups. Sessions for faculty groups are facilitated by Salesians who are also experienced secondary teachers and administrators.
Our facilities can accommodate your own retreat program as well. Many schools conduct Kairos and other specialized retreats using our facilities with a variety of chapels, presentation rooms and dining facilities.
Our beautiful grounds and full-size gym are used for healthy recreation periods that enhance the retreat experience. Parishes, Catholic associations, youth groups and young adult outreach groups conduct retreats, days of recollection, meetings and conferences at the retreat center and also have access to the Shrine Church.

a) Our Retreat Center accommodations include 54 beautifully appointed rooms, each with a private bath
b) The spacious dormitories with communal facilities in our St. Dominic Savio Youth Center.

Meeting Rooms
The Don Bosco Retreat House includes a chapel, library and lounge, a large meeting room and three smaller break-out rooms. The youth center gym can be used for presentations to large groups, as well as a smaller presentation room and several breakout rooms.
Meals and Dining Rooms
Our kitchen staff at the Don Bosco Retreat House will prepare and serve meals to meet the requirements of your group. We accommodate people's special needs and dietary restrictions.
Chapels & Private Spaces
Visitors will find communal meeting spaces in almost every hallway. Confessionals and small chapels are available for the sacraments.
Beautiful & Peaceful Grounds
You will find the peaceful park-like atmosphere and devotional areas conducive for a leisurely walk, reflection, and private prayer.

Private Retreats
A large white house on the campus of the Marian Shrine is available for individual retreats. A dirt trail called “the road to Emmaus,” leads to the house which bears the name. A stay at Emmaus for a private retreat offers an opportunity to rediscover Christ's presence in one’s life and to gain a fresh understanding of God's transforming grace, much like the experience of those who walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus described in Luke 24:13-35. The house is in walking distance to the Mary Help of Christians Church and a half-mile walk to the Don Bosco Retreat House. It includes five bedrooms with private baths, a living room, a fully equiped kitchen and a small chapel. Emmaus is solely offered to individuals who are making a retreat and joining to some degree in the sacraments offered at the Marian Shrine. It is not offered as an overnight accommodation like a bed-and-breakfast or for a family vacation.
